KETTER&Co, together with designers Will van Twuijver and Merel Witteman, is working on the innovative LAND&BOUW project in Veenhuizen on behalf of the province of Drenthe. This project combines bio-based construction and heritage conservation. Will investigates which local materials are suitable as building materials to make the monumental buildings of Veenhuizen more sustainable. Merel tells the rich story of the Veenhuizen landscape through specially designed display cases in collaboration with the Prison Museum. In this way, the historic and natural character of Veenhuizen is enhanced in a sustainable and educational way.
LAND&BOUW is a continuation of the partnership within the Design Deal.
